On April 18, 2006 at 5:18 AM, the city of San Francisco marked the 100th Anniversary of the earthquake and fire of 1906 which devastated the city. Participants in the commemoration included 100+ year-old earthquake survivors. Johnson & Johnson also commemorated its’ 100 years of corporate philanthropy, beginning with the San Francisco earthquake, when it provided needed medial supplies to the city. This year it provided a $100,000 grant to the San Francisco Fire Department to help with emergency response training.
