Alex Murdaugh took the witness stand in his own defense Thursday at the murder trial over the June 2021 killings of his wife and son. The disgraced attorney denied any involvement in the fatal shootings, saying he “would never do anything to hurt” them, but he admitted lying to police about when he last saw the victims alive.
