Democratic Candidate Mary Peltola just defeated radical extremist Republican Sarah Palin in the special election for the open congressional seat following the passing of Republican Don Young who served for 49 years. Congresswoman-elect Peltola will be the first Native Alaskan in Congress. Peltola ran on a freedom platform with a focus on protecting a women’s right to choose.
