operaphila.org – Composer Missy Mazzoli, librettist Royce Vavrek, and director James Darrah sit down to sip scotch and talk about the making of their new opera, BREAKING THE WAVES, based on the 1996 film by Lars von Trier. Opera Philadelphia presents the World Premiere of BREAKING THE WAVES from Sept. 22-Oct. 1, 2016. The opera is co-commissioned by Beth Morrison Projects.
