My favourite thing in the world is being with cats! They’re the best companions – I have had cats ever since I was little, and even now spending time with cats is the most rewarding thing for me; my two are super attached to me and always come running to greet me when I come home, it’s the best feeling in the world, and there’s no better sound than a cat purr! I have lived with cats since I was a tiny child. So far I have had five cats – Floyd, Daisy, Belle, and now Holly and Willow; Floyd was my very first cat (she was there when I arrived!), and although she was said to be temperamental she absolutely adored me and would come to cuddle up to me. Then came Daisy and Belle, the first two cats to arrive after I did, who grew up with me – we were described as “all kittens together”, which feels lovely – as an only child, I suppose they were the closest things to sisters I have known! They were with me up until after I finished university, and the time I had with them was so precious – they always came to sleep with me in bed, along with Floyd while they were all there together. I now have Holly and Willow, who are both totally gorgeous and extremely attached to me – Holly will cuddle right up to me, and snuggle into my arm and into my face, while Willow likes to cuddle my hand – the best thing is lying down with them both together! They’re both very happy and healthy cats, and I strive to ensure that that’s the case for as long as possible. You won’t find anyone who loves cats and cares about them more than me; as well as feeding them, making sure their litter is clear and their water is fresh, I will interact with them in whatever way is most suitable for that particular cat, whether it be cuddles, playtime, just being in the room with them, whatever they need. Through my many years of experience looking after cats, I know their nature and care needs, and that that varies from cat to cat – hence, I get called a cat whisperer! I can administer medication, as well as injections ie for insulin, which is another important addition to my service. Also, as of April 2023, I successfully completed a Level 3 Award in Feline Psychology and Behaviour, achieving a Higher Distinction. What’s not to enjoy? Spending time with cats is the best thing there is – it’s my favourite way to spend time; I know too that the peace of mind that comes from knowing there is someone who cares so much about cats looking after yours is so important, so I enjoy knowing that I’m making a difference to the owners’ peace of mind while they are away from their gorgeous cats.
