Vaccination Checklist
CATS
Your cat must be fully vaccinated i.e. part 1 and part 2 administered, with a vaccination certificate showing part 1 and 2 have been given.
Every cat should be vaccinated against 3 core diseases:
- feline panleucopaenia (or infectious enteritis)
- feline herpesvirus
- feline calicivirus (both causes of “cat flu”)
These diseases can have devastating consequences for a cat and it is easy to prevent them by regular vaccination.
All cat vaccinations should be boosted every 12 months WITHIN THE MONTH IT IS DUE. If you have missed your cats booster due date, you will need to ask your vet to restart your cats vaccination. You will need to have part 1 and part 2 administered before your cat is due to board with us.
DOGS
Your dog must be fully vaccinated i.e. part 1 and part 2 administered, with a vaccination certificate showing part 1 and 2 have been given.
Every dog should be vaccinated against:
- Canine parvovirus
- Canine distemper virus
- Leptospirosis
- Infectious canine hepatitis
All dogs coming in to board with us must also be vaccinated against kennel cough. This is an extra vaccination that you will need to ask your vet to administer at least 21 clear days in advance of their stay with us.
DHP vaccinations should be boosted every 3 years WITHIN THE MONTH IT IS DUE.
Lepto vaccinations should be boosted every 12 months WITHIN THE MONTH IT IS DUE.
Kennel cough vaccinations should be boosted every 12 months ON THE DATE IT IS DUE.
If you have missed your dogs booster due date, you will need to ask your vet to restart your dogs vaccination. You will need to have part 1 and part 2 administered before your dog is due to board with us.
If the kennel cough annual booster has lapsed over the due date then you get your dog re-vaccinated at least 21 clear days before the day your dog is due to board with us.
Your vet may have a different view on vaccinations but we follow our own vets advice as they have assessed the risks on our site. We have to be strict with these vaccination guidelines as we house un-vaccinated strays, unwanted and abandoned cats and dogs in a separate area on our site which may pose a risk to your pet if it is not fully vaccinated as above.
