Eddie Mekka, the actor who played Carmine Ragusa, the high school sweetheart of Cindy Williams’ Shirley Feeney on the hit ’70s sitcom Laverne & Shirley, died Saturday, Nov. 27, at his home in Newhall, California. He was 69.
Eddie Mekka was born on June 14, 1952 in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA as Edward Rudolph Mekjian. He is known for his work on Laverne & Shirley (1976), Dreamgirls (2006) and A League of Their Own (1992). He was married to Yvonne Marie Grace and DeLee Lively. He died on November 27, 2021 in Newhall, California, USA.
