Sir Nick Faldo won his first Open Championship at Muirfield in 1987. By 1992 Faldo was a two time champion and a four-time major winner.
The Englishman entered the 121st Open hoping to make it a Muirfield double and Open hat-trick in July 1992.
Faldo started strong and by the end of day two was the tournament leader, scoring a round of 64 on the second day. From there he put in a performance fitting of a champion and held off challenges from John Cook and Jose Maria Olazabal to win his third Claret Jug.
Relive every shot of Faldo’s magic at Muirfield.
