According to reports, police were called to a Chelsea apartment after a 911 call reported a domestic quarrel between a man, 33, and a woman, 30.
She reported being assaulted to the police. The statement said, “Officers took the 33-year-old individual, later identified as Majors, into custody without incident.” Police said the woman was transported to the hospital with minor injuries to her head and neck. The actor was detained on multiple allegations, including strangling, assault, and harassment, the representative confirmed. The cops have released him from custody. The nature of his connection to the lady was merely called “domestic.”
Majors is currently one of the most sought-after actors in the industry. Long-term, he’ll be playing Kang, the studio’s next big bad, and his big movie, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, is set to come out on May 2, 2025. The second season of Loki, which is set to premiere later this year, follows on from his recent appearance as Kang in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
This week, Searchlight scheduled the Sundance drama Magazine Dreams, in which he portrays a bodybuilder, for a release date that will coincide with the awards season. His prior work may be seen in the Western The Harder They Fall and the Korean War aviation film Devotion, both of which aired on HBO.

Searchlight has announced a Dec. 8 theatrical release for the Elijah Bynum-directed title Magazine Dreams, starring Jonathan Majors, after purchasing the rights to the film at Sundance. This is in keeping with the classics label’s prior awards season debuts.
This intense drama starring Majors as a troubled amateur bodybuilder was picked up by Searchlight over offers from Neon, Sony Pictures Classics, and HBO. Bynum not only directed but also wrote the screenplay for this drama about fame and violence, which stars John Majors as Killian Maddox. He is so dedicated to his goal of becoming a bodybuilding celebrity that not even the doctors’ dire warnings about the irreparable harm he is doing to himself will stop him. In addition to Mike O’Hearn, Harrison Page, and Harriet Sansom Harris, the film also stars Taylour Paige and Haley Bennett. The production team included Jennifer Fox, Dan Gilroy, Jeffrey Soros, and Simon Horsman. Luke Rodgers and Andrew Blau are also Executive Producers, along with Majors and his Tall Street Productions label.
Starring Majors, Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania opened to nearly $464M in box office receipts in early 2023. Kang the Conqueror, the newest Marvel villain, is played by him in the film.
This film was awarded the U.S. Special Dramatic Jury Prize at Sundance.
