Former Chinese president Hu Jintao has been “helped” out of the ruling Communist Party Congress.
The 79-year-old – who is Xi Jinping’s immediate predecessor – was tapped on the shoulder by ceremony officials before being escorted from the room.
There has been no official explanation provided by Beijing.
