LaShun Pace, a legendary gospel singer-songwriter, died on Monday, according to her family (March 21). 

She was 60 years old at the time.

Lydia Pace, Pace’s sister, told 11 Alive that the singer had been on dialysis for the past five years while waiting for a replacement kidney and died of organ failure on Monday morning.

On Monday, the “Larry Reid Live” show tweeted, “We have lost one of the baddest sopranos to ever walk this globe.” 

“LaShun Pace, one of The Pace Sisters’ principal singers, has gone away. 

Duranice Pace, the Pace Sisters’ sister, died lately, as did their mother, Pastor Betty Pace. 

Please pray for them and for those of us who will be affected by their loss.”
