Flash flooding warnings are in place for the Moruya area 300km south of Sydney. The nearby village of mogo has also seen some flooding.
Up to 200 millimetres of rain has fallen in the area and closed the Princes Highway south of Batemans Bay.
Dean Narramore from the Bureau of Meteorology says these events are linked to a low pressure system moving off the coast of NSW.
