โ๏ธ Expert Tips and Tricks
- Purchase good quality hot dogs! We love Applegate Organic’s Uncured Beef Hot Dogs because they contain no antibiotics, nitrates or hormones.
- Cover baking tray with foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup because the hot dogs can leave a greasy mess.
- Stretch the wide side of dough to cover as much of the hot dog as possible.
- Flip hot dogs wrapped in crescent rolls halfway through baking to ensure both sides are crispy.
- If you like your crescent dogs super crispy, add a few extra minutes of baking time. You can also brush the tops of crescent roll hot dogs with butter before baking to help with browning.
- Use tongs to remove crescent dogs from the tray to protect your hands from heat!

๐ง Storage
These crescent roll hot dogs can be stored in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to one month.
To reheat, we recommend placing crescent dogs in the oven or toaster oven for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

๐งVariations & Customization
๐ Make smaller crescent dogs by cutting hot dogs in half and cutting crescent triangles in half before wrapping the dogs (like mini pigs in a blanket).
๐ Add cheese! Sprinkle some cheese on your crescent rolls before wrapping the hot dogs. Or if you want cheese inside your hot dog, simply slice hot dog down the middle and insert strips of American or Cheddar cheese into the slit before wrapping dog in crescent dough.
