Looters went on the rampage in the Indonesian city of Medan on Wednesday (6/5), leaving a trail of damage as protests against fuel price rises turned into rioting. Hundreds of people attacked Chinese-owned shops near the Kemiri market in Medan, capital of North Sumatra. Security forces, some wearing riot shields and helmets and bearing arms, patrolled the streets.
