Michael J. Fox talks about his experience with Parkinson’s disease. He founded the Michael J. Fox Foundation in 2000 and it has become one of America’s leading sources of funding for Parkinson’s research. The Michael J. Fox Foundation also supports research being done in Maine at the Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor. The work being done at the Jackson Labs may lead to new treatments for Parkinson’s sufferers and might one day lead to a cure. This segment is excerpted from the documentary “Easing the Burden: Parkinson’s Disease.”
