Michelle Branch was arrested Thursday morning after a reported domestic dispute. The arrest occurred after the reports of the separation of her husband’s singer. The singer Michelle Branch was arrested Thursday at her house in Nashville with a position of aggression for minor crime after separating from her husband, Patrick Carney of The Black Keys. She spent almost eight hours in jail before being released with a bail of $ 1,000. According to the Affidavit of Arrest, the officers of the Police Department of Metro Nashville responded to the couple’s house just after 2 a.m. for a report of a possible domestic disturbance. Branch, 39, told police that she and her husband “are having marriage problems” and said she slapped Carney on her face once or twice during an argument, according to the affidavit. Carney had no visible injuries, he wrote an officer in the report. In a separate interview with the officers, Carney told police that his wife slapped him. Branch was imprisoned at jail at 4:30 a.m. With a minor domestic assault charge, according to online records, and she launched just before noon. Branch’s representatives did not immediately respond to USA Today to comment on her arrest. The police arrested the branch the same day that the singer confirmed to USA Today that she separated from Carney. “Everywhere” singer and composer married the rock drummer in April 2019. They share two children, one who is a baby. “Saying that I am totally devastated does not even describe how I feel for myself and my family. The carpet has been completely taken from under me and now I must discover how to move on,” Branch wrote in a statement published to the USA Today on Thursday night. “With such young children, I ask for privacy and kindness.” Court documents show that Branch is scheduled to appear before the court on November 7 for an agreement.
