Recently, we sent our dogs to Off-leash K9 Training for the Board and Train program. It was hands down the best thing we could have ever done. We have a 5 year old Miniature Schnauzer, Duncan, who was always very anxious, very over protective of me, barked all of the time, couldn’t be brought out in public because he was so naughty, didn’t get along with any other animals (especially the other dog in the house) and wasn’t a fan of other people, especially men. We also have a 1 year old Boston Terrier, Jake, who had so much energy that he was always on the run. He also didn’t know any basic training commands. I was initially apprehensive to send our boys because of the collar they would have for training and the worry about how they would be treated while away for 2 weeks. Well… boy was I mistaken! The collar is a godsend and works so amazing and not harmful to them at all. At the intake, our wonderful and amazing trainer, Asia , explained everything to us to a “T”. She was very thorough in how the training process and collar would work. She put me at ease and even had us feel what the dog feels with the collar and it was just fine. She also asked us what our expectations would be with the training. Duncan was so naughty that I had very low expectations for him. I honestly didn’t think he was that trainable. Again… I was so wrong!! Asia was always in contact with me… sending videos and photos every single day… answered any questions or concerns that I had…. which was so wonderful! Just within the first 24 hours she had the boys, they had made such improvements! Each day that went by, we were just blown away at how they had progressed with the training and how good they were doing. She is such an angel to us and to our boys! She has completely turned them into different boys…. the best version that they could possibly be!! By the time we picked them up, they both knew all of their commands and they became best friends! Before sending them to the program, it was so stressful on a daily basis with them not being obedient and with them not getting along with each other. Now that the program is completed and we have been home for a few days…. its a complete 180 with how they are at home!! They can hang out in the same room as each other, they get to be outside and in our pool together and can go on walks together too!!! Asia has also been so helpful in answering any question or concern I have since we have been home. She is always available for us!! Before the training program, Duncan had to be on daily medication to help with his anxiety and he no longer has to be on them!! I joke around that if Duncan can be trained this good, any dog can!!! I highly recommend Off-leash K9 Training and the Board and Train program!!! It has forever changed our lives and I will forever be indebted to Asia for her high skilled training! More…
