It’s not only humans that have seen some new looks emerge over lockdown.
From overgrown fur to untrimmed nails, pets across Hampshire have also fallen behind on their grooming schedules as much as we have been missing a trip to the salon.
Luckily, as lockdown measures begin to ease, many grooming parlours are starting to open again – all with new measures in place.
It comes after the Prime Minister announced that all non essential shops can open in England from June 15.
According to the Canine and Feline Sector Group there remains “no evidence” that pets are implicated in the transmission of coronavirus to people and the infection of animals is unlikely.
However there is a risk of the virus being carried by pets and their belongings which is why social distancing must be maintained. Under official guidance grooming parlours should work by appointment only and ensure clients wait in their vehicle until they are ready.
For those pets desperate for a trim and pamper we have scouted out the businesses open again under new protocols and raring to go. It is important to note that each business has different rules and availability for clients.
And there’s also some pretty dramatic before and after pictures too.
