Regina King is a force of Hollywood with a long record of consistent, scene-stealing roles to prove it. The L.A. native began her career as a child actor in the TV series ‘227.’ After taking a brief hiatus to pursue a college education at USC, Regina longed for Hollywood and made her glorious return to the big screen in ‘Boyz n the Hood’ and ‘Higher Learning’ — proving to audiences that she was ready to be taken seriously as an actress.

Though most of her roles have been supporting characters, she rose to prominence in ‘Jerry Maguire’ and went on to woo audiences in ‘How Stella Got her Groove Back,’ ‘Mighty Joe Young,’ ‘A Cinderella Story,’ and ‘Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous,’ starring alongside Sandra Bullock.

In 2015 and 2016, King won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series for ‘American Crime’. She also went on to win an Emmy for her leading role in ‘Seven Seconds’ and a Golden Globe for her powerful performance in ‘If Beale Street Could Talk.’
