Tyre Nichols’ family says Memphis police beat him like a “human pinata.”Police, who had pulled Tyre over for a traffic stop, claim he tried to flee and became confrontational, Arguing they needed to use necessary force to stop him, But after watching still publicly unreleased footage… Tyre’s family says he was pepper sprayed, shocked with a stun gun, and restrained while “defenseless.” His stepfather adding, “Our son ran because he was scared for his life.” Three days later, he died. All five officers involved in the stop were fired 10 days after that for violating use of force and failing to render aid, But not a single one of them has been charged yet. And now a whole city is on edge waiting to see how or even if they’ll be held accountable.
