The sudden death of 14-year-old of viral sensation Lil Tay has shocked fans.

Taking to Instagram to announce the tragic news, the internet sensation’s family confirmed the passing of Lil Tay, real name Claire Hope, aged 14.

The Instagram statement read:
“We have no words to express the unbearable loss and indescribable pain. This outcome was entirely unexpected and has left us all in shock.”

They also went on to announce the passing of her brother, Jason Tian, in the same statement:

“Her brother’s passing adds an even more unimaginable depth to our grief.”
