There’s international intrigue over a spy balloon from China crossing the American heartland. Former newspaper reporter Chase Doak was one of the first civilians to spot the balloon. When it caught his eye, Doak thought it was a bright star or a UFO. It was only later that he learned it was a gigantic balloon on a spying mission. However, the Pentagon advised President Biden not to order it shot down due to the danger of falling debris.
