Down at Café El Emir in Paris’s Belleville neighbourhood, the terrace is filling up and there’s a blend of French and Arabic being spoken.
A lot of people here have ties to France and Tunisia.
“This match goes beyond sport,” said Tunisian fan Mohammed. “We have a shared history, economic ties, cultural ties.”
The 29-year-old was born in Tunisia but came to France at age of five.
“For me, the most important thing is that we play our hearts out, and give a good image of Tunisia on a global level. We’re the little guy but we’re making the most of what we’ve got.”
